Mercat de la Terra Xaló

Every Saturday this car park turns into a relaxed little farmers’ market: temporary stalls with snacks and drinks, a vegetable stand and a French baker. Carnisseria Companatge Xaló has its own fixed, wooden stall here too, selling mostly drinks and a bit of food.

There are chairs and tables if your feet need a break after wandering round the Rastro, and shade gets put up when it’s hot.

Live music often adds to the mood. A good way to round off a visit to the Rastro, though start here first and you may never quite make it there.
